Commission on the Status of Women

Jacki Hunlow, President of the Mothers Legacy Project is excited to be attending the Fifty-fourth session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) March 1-12 2010 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City with the great women of the Worldwide Organization of Women organization. 

 
The CSw is dedicated exclusively to gender equality and advancement of women. It is the principal global policy-making body. Every year, representatives from forty-five  Member States gather UN to evaluate progress on gender equality, identify challenges, set global standards and formulate concrete policies to promote gender equality and advancement of women worldwide.  Thirteen members from Africa: eleven from Asia; nine from Latin American and Caribbean; eight from Western Europe and other States and four from Eastern Europe.

Jacki hopes to gather many new stories to share on the Legacy website.
