Marena Degamo
Marena Degamo has been an entrepreneur for a long time. Three years ago, she opened a furniture shop named Degamo Furniture and her father and younger brother became her carpenters. Although they were breaking even, Marena knew they could do better. When she heard of Mentors Cebu, she was attracted by its business values.
Her first loan enabled her to buy a sander, a planer and lumber. With these investments, she was able to double her salary. She now aspires to buy a small four-wheel vehicle to help her deliver her furniture and has taken out another loan to accomplish this goal. All of Marena's efforts are primarily geared toward helping her parents and her brother since they rely on her for their daily sustenance. She says helping them makes her completely happy.
